In 2003, several community organizations produced documents about North Park history. The North Park Community Association History Committee produced a handout describing key landmarks, and a tri-fold brochure describing early development, entertainment and sports legends. The Boulevard, the business organization focused on El Cajon Boulevard, produced a map and list of buildings with historic and architectural interest. North Park Main Street, the business organization focused along University Avenue and 30th Street, coordinated with Walk San Diego to produce the “North Park Magical History Tour” presenting 2003 current (now also historical) photos of 25 buildings with their original construction dates and functions.
