In 2018, NPHS volunteers conducted an on-foot survey of the structures in Pauly’s Addition, which encompasses 20 blocks extending from Alabama Street on the west to Arizona Street on the east, and from University Avenue on the north to Upas Street on the south. We gathered information about style, date of construction, first owner, existing condition, and an opinion about potential for historical designation into tables organized by address block (3400, 3500, 3600, 3700, and 3800). Our findings are summarized in the following letter to the City of San Diego Historical Resources Board.
